Religious Studies is an interdisciplinary major designed to provide students with the methodology used to study religion as a fundamental human experience and to introduce students to the history of religious traditions.

Religion impacts all facets of life and history and as such can only be studied in an interdisciplinary fashion. Students majoring in Religious Studies will take courses that not only examine various religious traditions, but also approach religion from different perspectives: historical, political, sociological, and literary.
