Instructors of Russian

Kseniya Sakson
Kseniya was born in Russia. Shortly after high school graduation, she moved to Paris because she was fascinated by the French language and culture. Also, theatre has always been very important to her. In 2009 she accomplished her undergraduate studies at the University of Sorbonne, Paris where she obtained B.A. in Theatre. 2004-2006 Kseniya taught Russian language for adults in France. In her spare time, Kseniya loves to read and translate French lyrics and poems into Russian.


Dmitry Kurochkin
Dmitry Kurochkin became the club’s President 2009. After he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lomonosov Moscow State University 2004, holding B.S. and M.S. in theoretical Physics, Dmitry joined Tulane University as a graduate student in 2005. In 2008 he obtained his M.S. in Chemistry. Right now he is working on his PhD in Mathematics.


Elena Shabliy
In 2005 Elena graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with High Distinction and gold medal. She obtained B.A. & M.A. in German Language and Western Literature. In 2007 Elena Shabliy joined Tulane University as a graduate student. She has taught one semester Introductory Russian course at Tulane University. She founded Tulane Russian Club where she is currently a Vice President.
