Academic Enhancement Program

Some students need to learn how to learn, whereas some students just need a quality study environment to achieve their educational goals. The academic services offered at Tulane University fall under the umbrella of the Academic Enhancement Program (AEP).

The goal of AEP is to provide comprehensive educational services for Tulane student-athletes. This program is intended to provide structured study experiences through educational learning-strategy techniques, access to advisors, tutorial settings, content-based tutorials and technological assistance. The services offered through AEP are in compliance with all NCAA bylaws, Conference-USA standards and Tulane’s guidelines for academic integrity and ethical behaviors.

This program is available for student-athletes who have a desire to learn or improve their study strategies in many areas such as reading comprehension, note-taking, organization and time management, or test-taking. It is the vision of Student-Athlete Academic Services staff that the AEP will be an environment that fosters critical thinking and aids students in developing time management skills.

The Academic Enhancement Program at Tulane has been established to include the following services: tutoring, mentoring, individual study hours, academic counseling, library research, foreign language lab and group study sessions.
