Research Interests: Marriage and Family, Gender, Culture, and the Religious Right
Michele Adams received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside, in 2003, where, in 1998, she also received her M.A. degree. She completed her undergraduate studies at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Her research interests focus around issues related to the politics of marriage, family, gender, and popular culture. She has published in journals such as Family Relations, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and American Behavioral Science Review, and has authored a number of book chapters and encyclopedia entries on issues related to marriage and family. She teaches Sociology of Family and Social Theory.
