Research Interests: Life Course/Developmental Criminology, Life Course Victimology, Mental Health, and Social Statistics

Xiaojin Chen received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Iowa State University in 2004, where, in 2003, he also received a M.S. degree in Statistics. He completed his undergraduate study in Nanjing University, P. R. China in 1993, and earned his M.A. degree in Sociology in ZhongShang University in 1996. His current research interests focus on examining violent victimization from a life course perspective, and the application of longitudinal data analysis techniques to test life course/developmental criminology theories. His publications appear on professional journals such as Journal of Research on Adolescence, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Journal of Alcohol Studies, and Journal of Community Psychology.
