Tulane Rugby Club

Dear Fellow Ruggers,

The Tulane University Rugby Football Club is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 32nd Annual Mardi Gras Rugby Tournament in New Orleans on the weekend of February 13th and 14th, 1999.  Tulane is located only minutes from downtown New Orleans (home of the infamous Bourbon Street in the French Quarter).

This year's invitational tournament will consist of 8-10 undergraduate collegiate teams with no more than 25 players that are registered with both the Union and CIPP.  The tournament will be held at a park not far from Tulane's campus, and each team is guaranteed at least two matches.  There will be a brief captain's meeting on Friday, February 12th in order to establish where teams can be contacted and the schedule of matches.

In past years we have welcomed teams from all over the United States as well as some international college clubs.  Already we have been contacted by teams from Illinois and Canada, and we are confident that this year's competition will be as diverse as it is intense.
