The Graduate Program Committee needs your ideas and thoughts on initiatives that will significantly increase the quality and impact of Tulane’s graduate programs. We believe that to achieve meaningful improvement in our graduate programs the University must not only increase its investment in top-level faculty, support systems, and infrastructure but also better deploy and focus the quality faculty and programs already in place. We want to know how existing programs could be made substantially better, about which brand-new programs to undertake, and everything in between. We are interested in programs that involve traditional subjects as well as interdisciplinary studies that cross department and even school boundaries. We want to identify high-quality and potentially high-quality subprograms.

We request that your input, in the format given below, be fairly concise. We ask for plans that involve a reasonable amount of investment and which can be justified in terms of a substantial increase in quality and national/international visibility.
