For full-time Tulane students and special admit “summer only” students, tuition for courses offered in the A2, A5, B5, A6, and B6 sessions and for liberal arts and science courses offered in the E1, E2, ET, G1, G2, M1, M2, MT, and OL sessions is $849 per credit. Since most summer session courses carry three credits, regular tuition is $2,547 per course.
Full-time Tulane students and “summer only” students may take School of Continuing Studies courses (excluding liberal arts and science courses) in the E1, E2, ET, G1, G2, M1, M2, MT, and OL sessions at the rate of $263 per credit, or $789 for a three-credit course.
School of Continuing Studies part-time students are billed at the rate of $263 per credit ($789 for a three-credit course) for all courses offered in the E1, E2, ET, G1, G2, M1, M2, MT, and OL sessions, but are charged $849 per credit ($2,547 for a three-credit course) in the A2, A5, B5, A6, and B6 sessions unless otherwise noted.
Students should consult with their academic adviser to determine the applicable tuition rate for summer school courses.
Certain special programs carry their own tuition rates. Students enrolled in the MLA program pay $394.50 per credit hour ($1,183.50 for a three-credit course). Also, Career Explorations in Architecture and off-campus summer programs have separate tuitions. For specific information, please refer to the relevant section of this catalog.
Full-time teachers employed at schools approved by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education or the Mississippi State Board of Education may qualify for a 50% tuition discount for School of Continuing Studies courses taken in the 2008 Summer School. No degree or certificate is conferred upon any student until all financial obligations to Tulane University or any of its colleges or divisions have been satisfied. No statement of credit (transcript) will be given by any university official to a student who is in default of any payments due the University.
Students may change their schedules via TOUR through the last day to register/add for each session. After that date, schedule changes must be made in the Summer School office on a drop/add form. Failure to make schedule changes promptly and accurately results in financial or academic penalties. Please refer to the academic calendars at the beginning of each session’s listings for specific deadlines.
Students who register for courses are financially liable for the tuition and fees. Students should review the summer calendar carefully to ensure that courses are dropped within the proper time. All tuition refunds are made in accordance with this calendar and are effective the date the drop form is received in the Summer School office or the drop is processed via TOUR.
