How often are practices?Practices are held three times a week for two hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5-7 PM. Practices are not mandatory. Back to Top
How much yardage is done during typical practice? The answer to this question is really up to you. We typically have two workouts posted, one of which is usually 2/3 as long as the other. Typically we begin the year doing about 2500 yards and build up to around 4500-5000 yards for the full workout. Back to Top
What if I've never swam on a competitive team? This is not a problem. We're really just here to have fun doing what we all love to do: swim. If you've never swam competitively, we can teach you whatever you need to know. Back to Top
Are practices/meets mandatory?Absolutely not. We certainly understand that this is not a varsity team and academics come first. We completely understand if you have to miss a practice every so often because you have homework or an up-coming test. If you just don't feel like going to practice any given day, that's fine too. Meets are also optional. While we are primarily a competitive team and we encourage everyone to go on the fun away trips, they are not mandatory. Back to Top
How do I join? You can join by pretty much just showing up on deck! Come join us at the Reily Center pool during any practice to see what we're all about. If you want to stick around with us, we'll ask you to sign a waiver and pay the membership dues. Back to Top |
