TAMS Training

 

TAMS Training will be offered on both the Uptown and Health Sciences campuses.  All classes will be hands-on, instructor-led computer training with a maximum of 10 students per class.  Users will receive a training manual for each application that will serve as a desktop reference.  The training materials and exercises have been written to match our business needs and include step-by-step directions and screen shots. 

General Ledger

Course Objective - Participants will have a basic understanding of how to access and navigate in TAMS, how to view a General Ledger account budget or fund balance, and how to view the transactions posted to that account.

Audience - All Tulane employees who are responsible for managing TAMS General Ledger accounts.

Duration - Two-hours

Grants Management

Course Objective – Participants will have a basic understanding of how to access and navigate in TAMS, how to view a Grants Management project budget, an available balance, and all transactions posted to the grant. 

Audience - All Tulane employees who are responsible for managing sponsored research activity.

Duration - Two-hours

Requisitioning



Course Objective - Participants will be able to generate, forward, print, and check the status of requisitions and subsequent purchase orders.

Audience - All Tulane employees who will be initiating requisitions (purchases) for their departments.

Duration - 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
