Facility Renovation

Do you remember when you pledged Theta?  How proud and happy you were?  Remember the excitement and mystery of initiation and finally getting to wear your Greek letters?

We all have fond memories of these events and our days as Thetas at Newcomb College and Tulane University, and the lifelong friendships that we continue to enjoy.  Many of our memories as Thetas were made at our house at 928 Broadway.  This house is our center of life as Thetas at Newcomb and Tulane. We have our chapter meetings, meals, recruitment parties and initiation at our house – all moments that we remember forever.

As the Alpha Phi Chapter approaches its Centennial Anniversary in 2014, our chapter house needs your help and support.  The Alpha Phi Facility Corporation and Fundraising Committee has started the Alpha Phi Fundraising Campaign to raise $200,000 necessary for critical repairs and improvements needed to be made to the exterior and interior of the chapter house at 928 Broadway Street in New Orleans.

A number of repairs have already been made recently, but there is still much more work to be done.  As many of you who have seen the house recently know, much of this work is badly needed.  Our goal is that the house is in great shape for our centennial reunion on 2014.

The Alpha Phi Fundraising Campaign needs everyone’s help.  We make this request to all Alpha Phi Alumnae, Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae in the New Orleans area who interact with the Alpha Phi Chapter, and the parents of those members currently in the chapter.

Donations can be made directly to the Alpha Phi Facility Corporation of Kappa Alpha Theta are not tax-deductible. Please send in your donation as soon as possible so that work can commence on the Alpha Phi Chapter Facility.  Contact Deborah Quarles at (504) 466-9213 or at dlqqi@bellsouth.net if you need any additional information or if you have any questions.

Thank you again for your time and careful consideration.  “Remember” that what we learned as a new member is true: “Theta is for a Lifetime.
