The Louisiana State University (LSU) HIV Disease Management Initiative (DMI) operates as a division of the LSU Health Care Services Division (HCSD). The HIV DMI is one of several other LSU HCSD Disease Management Initiatives, including Diabetes, Athsma, Cancer, Congestive Heart Failure, and more recently Renal Beginnings, Tobacco Control, and Blood Pressure Control. The LSU HCSD HIV Disease Management unites HIV-physician leads and other health care professionals from nine hospitals across the state of Louisiana. The Clinical Lead for the HIV DMI is Newton E. Hyslop, Jr, M.D. Other key personnel are listed in the next section of this website: Participants.
