Dear Colleagues,
As the Chair of the Tulane University Staff Advisory Council (SAC) and part of the Alumni Affairs team, I feel honored and privileged to be a representative and advocate for all staff. As an advisory group and as stated in our mission, the Council facilitates communication, builds community, increases recognition opportunities, and promotes personal and professional growth for staff.
Established in 1981, the SAC has been instrumental in bringing about positive institutional and employment changes which richly affect the lives of staff at Tulane. The SAC is supported by the administration and is viewed as an essential component of this institution.
Council meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month and rotate between campuses. In addition to full meetings, committee meetings are held on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis. A complete list of our meetings can be found on the SAC website. The meetings are educational in nature and are open to all staff served by the Council. Staff members are encouraged to attend our meetings and to utilize the Council as a mechanism for the exchange of information among staff and between staff and administration. I encourage you to become a member of the Council and to share your ideas, gifts and talents with us.
Please call me or send me an email at any time that you feel I can be of assistance. I welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions.
Yours sincerely,
Cynthia T. Hayes
