Brief Vitae:
I joined Tulane School of Social Work faculty in 1992 with 14 years of teaching and 12 years of practice experience. In my role as Director of Field Education I am working on collaborative learning and teaching models with field instructors and students in field placement. Resilience in old age and diversity are other strong interests that are integrated into my teaching and research. I am primarily responsible for the content on field in the curriculum including faculty development and consultation to all faculty on their role in students' field experience.

Courses Taught:
Field curriculum;
Practice courses, particularly practice with groups.

Focus of Teaching:
Field orientation, practicum, and seminar;
Group practice;
Human development, particularly aging.
Diversity

Area of Research:
Violence against women, women's health and mental health, aging, field education.
