Current Events
Fundraisers:
- During Parents Weekend (October 4 and 5) we held a fundraiser in which
we made over $400 selling midterm care packages. This money was used to
help fund the trip to the Southern Regional Model United Nations Conference,
November 21-23.
- T-shirt sales and a sponsorship drive are planned for the near future
to help fund a planned trip to New York in March for the National Model
UN Conference.
Conferences:
- November 21-23
- TUMUN represented the countries of Argentina and the Netherlands at
our first conference, the Southern Regional Model United Nations. In addition
to getting valuable experience, TUMUN head delegate Tom Curnew was
recognized for his contribution to the Economic and Social Plenary Committee.
All those who participated agree that this conference was not only an extremely
important learning experience, but an enjoyable weekend as well.
