The Lillian A. and Robert L. Turchin Library, located on the third floor of the Goldring-Woldenberg Hall, provides access to over 700 serials, 33,000 books, and a number of electronic databases. The library currently provides access to CD databases through a local area network, and online databases through the World Wide Web. Online information services include Bloomberg, Dow Jones News Retrieval, Lexis/Nexis, First Call, and Dialog.
The Library also provides 76 individually lighted study carrels for Freeman students, as well as rooms for group study, and an attractive periodical reading area. The Taiwan Collection was established in 1995 with a gift from the Taiwanese Executive M.B.A. Class. There is also an extensive collection of company annual reports, dating back a number of years.
The Turchin Library is an associate member of OCLC (Online Computer Library Center), which allows the library to lend and borrow materials from other universities and research institutions in North America. Holdings from the Turchin Library are included in TULANET, Tulane's automated catalog, providing national and international access to Turchin's collection from the Internet. The library is always open to comments and suggestions from its users in an attempt to improve services.
