Training and Mentoring
As part of our mission to advance women’s health, the Mary Amelia Center focuses on cultivating the next the generation of women’s health professionals. Training and mentoring are key parts of our mission. We look for and create opportunities for students and community members to be involved in meaningful ways in the Centers work.
There are opportunities for involvement at all levels:
-
Undergraduates, including fulfillment of public service requirements
-
Graduate students, including practicum experiences, some of which are organized in conjunction with the Maternal and Child Health Leadership Training program.
-
Anyone else who has an interest in contributing to the Center’s work while gaining skills and experience.
Some opportunities are listed in the Get Involved page on this site; contact us to learn more.
Some of the students working here have written about their work with the Center, and how they plan to apply it in the future. We also keep in touch with those who worked here in the past as part of their training.
