rules & requirements: dropping classes

Students must drop courses by the dates specified in the academic calendar. Failure to attend classes does not constitute withdrawal, and students will be charged the full tuition amount if they do not officially withdraw from class(es). Students may drop courses via Gibson Online through the last day to drop without record. After the last day to drop without record and until the last day to drop for the semester, students must submit a drop form bearing the instructor's signature.

If a student wants to drop an online class after the last day to drop without record and until the last day to drop for the semester, the student must contact our Records Supervisor, Gaye LeMon, at and notify her of the desire to drop the online class. (A drop form is not required.) The student must include the CRN as well as the student's ID number in the e-mail. The student must also notify the instructor of his/her desire to drop the class, and the instructor must then communicate the information to Ms. LeMon. It is the student's responsibility to verify that the class has been dropped.
