What do I need to get into the School of Continuing Studies?
To enroll in an undergraduate program, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Students may apply online. There is a $25 application fee.


Are "School of Continuing Studies" and "Tulane" the same thing?
The School of Continuing Studies is one of nine schools at Tulane University: Architecture, A. B. Freeman School of Business, Law, Liberal Arts, Medicine, Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Science and Engineering, Social Work, and School of Continuing Studies.


What's the SCS tuition?
$369 per credit hour for the 2015-2016 academic year, which means that a typical three-credit course costs $1,107.


What kind of degree can I get?
SCS offers bachelors' and associates' degrees, subject-specific certificates, a Master of Liberal Arts degree and a Master of Professional Studies degree in Homeland Security Studies or Computing Technologies.


When do classes start?
The SCS calendar is on a Spring/Summer/Fall "trimester" system. We have two 15-week semesters and one 12-week summer semester, as well as two 6-week summer semesters.


How many classes can I take?
Part-time SCS students in good standing may take up to 13 credits per semester. Students may take more credits in the summer if they wish, but should always consider the time and effort they have available for their studies while scheduling courses. Students seeking financial aid should also note that taking 12 credits qualifies them for "full-time" aid status.
