This Web site was conceptualized during the Spring of 1998 by project directors Crystal Kile (Education Coordinator & Head Internet Geek) and Susan Tucker (Curator of Books and Records), Newcomb College Center for Research on Women.

Research, design and site production was funded by a generous summer grant from The Newcomb Foundation.

The site was produced in the Sophie B. Wired Computer Cluster in Caroline Richardson Hall, Newcomb College, Tulane University. This collaborative feminist workspace was created with a major grant from the Louisiana State Board of Regents, and with additional monies from The Newcomb Foundation and the Tulane University Office of Institutional Planning, Research and Innovation.
