Special CollectionsCulinary Collection- This is a collection of cook books and texts on the culinary arts. With a focus on local cuisine and community cookbooks, the collection also includes reference sources, international and regional cookbooks, and guides to entertaining. recipe boxes housed within the Center that are categorized by region. This collection includes culinary texts that focus on entertaining and hosting as well. Zale Writers Collection- Every year, Newcomb brings a nationally known writer to campus to give lectures and teach classes and workshops; this collection includes many of the books written by these authors. Learn more about the Zale-Writer-in-Residence program. Newcomb Authors Collection- This collection is comprised of books written by Newcomb students and alumni. The collection has also recently been expanded to include texts written by faculty Associates of the Women’s Studies Program of Newcomb College. Subject Files- These files include newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and other documents on issues concerning women and young people that the Center has collected and filed for use by students and faculty. Bio Files- These files are comprised of biographical information of students, alumni, and faculty of Newcomb College that has been collected from student records, newspapers, correspondence, and other sources. |
