They describe Ann Hughes Anderson's financial difficulties following her departure from New Orleans to Philadelphia. Anderson urges Poole to send her money and provides details of her expenses, along with references to her relationship with her husband.

This collection contains two albums of photographs of Elna Bertram and her family and friends from Vinegar Bend, Alabama. Also included are photos taken during family vacations in such places as Houston and Galveston, Texas, Davenport, Iowa, and the West. There are several taken in New Orleans. Newspaper clippings dealing with Vinegar Bend, Ms. Bertram's brother, and other friends of the family can also be found in the second album, and appear to date from the 1950s-1960s.

Jacquelyn Brechtel Clarkson was elected to the Council District C seat in 1990 and served until 1994. Prior to her election, she was active in the business community as a realtor. The records are 7 boxes of correspondence/subject files and reports reflecting broad topics that the Council considered during Clarkson's tenure, with emphasis on Council District C issues and the NOPSI buyout debate.


6. Culotta, Joseph, Jr.

Joseph Culotta, Jr., taught chemistry part-time at Tulane College of Arts and Sciences and at Newcomb College until 1971. He also worked full- time as a Southern regional supervisor for the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs, representing veterans and their families before the Veterans Administration. In 1962 he took over as host of the "American Legion Hour" on New Orleans' WTIX radio station, and in May of 1965, he became moderator of "Let's Talk It Over," one of the city's first audience participation discussion programs. The collection consists of audiotapes and related guides, primarily of the radio call-in/interview program "Let's Talk It Over" (1965-1990). Also included are several tapes of "The American Legion Hour" (1962-1965) radio program and scattered tapes of "Mid-Month in New Orleans" (1969-1981), a taped program heard on the middle Sunday of each month. The programs covered a wide range of topics including the women's movement and many other areas of interest for women's studies.

Mary Evelyn "Mollie" (Moore) Davis was a novelist and poet whose works include Jaconetta: Her Loves (1901), The Little Chevalier (1903), The Price of Silence (1907), and Selected Poems (1927), which was published as a memorial volume. Included in the collection are personal correspondence, letters relating to the publication of Selected Poems, a copy of Grace King's introduction to the volume, and galley proofs, typescripts of Davis's poems, and other papers.
