These papers document Ms. Duvic's participation in the United States Daughters of 1812. Included are membership lists for the late 1960s, financial records from as early as the 1940s, several publications, and various programs/invitations to events sponsored by the organization. Also included are several letters to Ms. Duvic from various local groups, a Christmas card from author Harnett T. Kane, programs and invitations from other area historical organizations (including her badge and ribbon from the 1965 Sesquicentennial of the Battle of New Orleans), and a credit card/receipts from D. H. Holmes department store.
12. Equal Rights Association Club

Records of the Equal Rights Association Club, which was founded by Jean and Kate Gordon in 1896 and reorganized in 1914 after internal dissension led to its dissolution. Women's suffrage was the group's main goal, but it was also involved in a variety of civic and reform endeavors. The records date from the reorganization and include minutes of board meetings, business meetings, and open meetings.
13. Friends of the Cabildo Oral History Tapes

The Friends of the Cabildo, the support group for the Louisiana State Museum, has been conducting oral history interviews since 1972. FOC Board member Dorothy Schlesinger has been a major force behind the oral history program since its inception. In 1992 the FOC and the New Orleans Public Library agreed to a transfer of the duplicate user tapes from the Museum's Louisiana Historical Center to the Library's Louisiana Division. 567 tapes were transferred and numerous additions to the collection have been made since 1992. In 1997 Schlesinger and Dorothy Mahan, then Director of the Oral History Program, edited a new directory of the collection. Copies are available in the Louisiana Division. The collection documents the social, economic, cultural and political history of New Orleans and the lives of some of its older citizens and is rich in colorful detail. Among the many women interviewed are Lindy Boggs and Carolyn Kolb.
