Female Genital Mutilation

A good starting point for research regarding female genital mutilation (FGM), would be to conduct TULANET searches in OPAC for books, and DNEW and DOLD for articles, under the subject heading S=CLITORIDECTOMY or S=INFIBULATION. Also, key word searches such as K=GENITAL MUTILATION and K=FEMALE CIRCUMCISION provide a listing of several sources.

Some books available at the Women's Center Library on the subject include the following:

GN484.D64 1994 Cutting the Rose: Genital Mutilation: The Practice and Its Prevention
HQ1788.H67 1994 The Hosken Project: Genital and Sexual Mutilation of Females
GN484.W35 1993 Warrior Marks: Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual Binding of Women
