  • Flexible Spending Accounts General Information

Tulane University offers two Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plans: A Health FSA and a Dependent Care FSA. The Plans offer you tax savings throughout the year.       New Hires and employees with a Change in Family Status that wish to participate in the Cafeteria Plan can enroll in the Flexible Spending Account Plan outside of the annual Open Enrollment Period.  New hires and employees with a qualifying change in family status must submit the enrollment form to Human Resources within 30 days of employment or 30 days from the date of the status change. Employees with a change in family status must also submit the Change in Status Form and the required supporting documentation.

     

  • Flexible Spending Account Plan Information

    Tulane University provides you with Basic Life insurance coverage in the amount of 1.5 times your base annual earnings up to $50,000.  (Paid by the University – no cost to you)

    • Supplemental Life Insurance
      You can elect to buy additional coverage by enrolling in the Voluntary Life Insurance Plan. The maximum coverage you can apply for is $1,000,000.

      Your spouse can apply for up to $150,000 and the amount for unmarried, dependent children up to $20,000. The maximum coverage for children under six months is $500.
