
NEW-hire Staff Orientation (OutSIDE OF THE GREATER NEW ORLEANS AREA): ELIGIBILITY

All new faculty/Out of state staff need to complete I-9 forms on their first day at work and this should be signed in the presence of a Tulane University representative. Please read the instructions below.
On Your First day at work (this may be different from your official hire date):

All U.S. Citizens must complete and sign I-9 Employment Eligibility Form and present original documentation to your Department Administrator who will sign the form on behalf of Tulane University. They will copy and forward this paperwork to the Workforce Management Organization for retention in your personal file. |

All Foreign National employees must complete their I-9 Employment Eligibility form at the Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) within the first three days of employment. The CISS is located at Tate House, Uptown Campus. CISS link |
Foreign national employees will also be sent an email link for them to complete their International Tax Information. This email will be sent within the first three days of employment.
A Staff New Hire will not be eligible to start employment if they do not submit their employment and payroll paperwork within 3 days of their hire date and/or they fail to bring essential original documentation when they attend on their first day at work.
