OBJECTIVES: The Physical Geology Laboratory provides practical experience in identifying common rocks and minerals, and reading and interpreting geologic and topographic maps.

COURSE CONTENT:

•     I Earth Materials
•          Minerals
•          Rocks
•     II Map Reading
•      General map interpretation from topographic maps, scales of a map, contour and contouring and locating    features of various types, produced by different geologic agents or processes, on maps.

Structural Geology as observed and interpreted from geologic and topographic maps and block diagrams
