| Lashon received her M.F.A in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College in 2008 and plans to be an author when she grows up. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, she enjoys listening to Will Smith’s song about her hometown. With a B.A. in English and a background in dance, she hopes to one day combine the two, somehow. She came to New Orleans hoping to get her hands dirty, to write some stories, and to do some good. She’s an avid believer in fairy tales and describes herself as being the “opposite of a teapot.”
