1.1.1. Objetivos

Este curso tiene tres objetivos:

1. Ayudarte a mejorar tus conocimientos de la gramática española,

2. mostrarte cómo la gramática española varia en el mundo iberoamericano, y

3. explicarte cómo la mente humana representa y organiza la gramática española.

1.1.2. Requisitos

Sólo los normales de una clase de nivel 4000.

1.1.3. Resultados

Para mostrar que hayas logrado los objetivos, llevarás a cabo las tareas siguientes:

1. Hacer una prueba casi todas las semanas: (11-1) * 7% = 70%. La prueba se suele hacer los lunes en los primeros 10 minutos, sobre la materia dada desde el lunes anterior. No se dan pruebas de recuperación, pero se suprime la nota más baja. Si me avisas con antelación de una ausencia, no se la contaré en contra.

2. Tareas: 15%

3. Preparar un proyecto final: 15%.

Cada uno tiene que entregar un análisis gramatical de un texto el día del examen final.

1.1.4. Code of Academic Conduct

The Code of Academic Conduct begins as so:

The integrity of the Newcomb-Tulane College is based on the absolute honesty of the entire community in all academic endeavors. As part of the Tulane University community, undergraduate students have certain responsibilities regarding work that forms the basis for the evaluation of their academic achievement. Students are expected to be familiar with these responsibilities at all times. When a violation of the Code of Academic Conduct is observed it is the duty of every member of the academic community who has evidence of the violation to take action. Students should take steps to uphold the code by reporting any suspected offense to the instructor or the Associate Dean of Newcomb-Tulane College. Students should under no circumstances tolerate any form of academic dishonesty.
